Singapore – Food Empire Holdings Limited (“Food Empire”, together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”), is pleased to announce that it has been awarded as an “Honouree” for Brands for Good Award 2021/2022 under the “Business for Good” category on 17th January 2022.

The Brands for Good award, jointly organised by IPOS Society and International Intellectual Property Commercialization Council Singapore (IIPCC Singapore), aims to recognise businesses across Asia that go beyond making a difference but commit as stewards for a positive change. There are four different categories under the Brands for Good 2021/2022 awards, namely Business for Good, Technology for Good, Capital for Good and Leadership for Good. The Business for Good category recognises businesses that have implemented strategies towards achieving the economic, social and environmental goals.

The Group commits about 10% of its annual revenue on marketing and promotional initiatives, which includes the various corporate social responsibility initiatives. For over 10 years, the Group has been contributing to the weekly rations for the underprivileged community in the Marine Parade constituency, and recently supported the Give A Line, Change a Life initiative held in 2020 which provided former reoffenders with smartphones to help them reintegrate into society. Beyond Singapore, the Group also works with various non-government and local agencies in Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Nepal and Kenya to help underprivileged families and support sustainability-related events.

The award is a recognition of the Group’s efforts to give back to communities not just in Singapore, but globally as well. The pandemic has led to a period of hardships and challenges, and it is especially important to contribute to help uplift communities and not leave anyone behind. As the Group continues to expand its presence around the world, it’s committed to creating meaningful impacts locally and globally.
